What began as the dream of a curious 16-year-old girl has grown into a globally recognized 16-year-old dermocosmetics brand with purpose, science, and heart at its core.

Deren Öztürk Mataracı’s journey into beauty started early. Inspired by a transformative visit to a Parisian aromatherapy shop and encouraged by her father, a chemical engineer with decades of experience, she pursued a vision: to build a brand where science, nature, and cultural heritage come together to create meaningful impact.

Her academic and professional path shaped the strategic foundation of Cosmed. After studying Business at Koç University, completing her Master’s in Marketing

Communications at Bilgi University, and continuing her education in Fashion Marketing at Istituto Marangoni in Milan, she gained deep insight into global brand building. Her experience at Yves Saint Laurent within L’Oréal further strengthened her understanding of product excellence, consumer trust, and uncompromising quality.
